Shit Happens, Turn it to Fertilizer

This is a perfect time for transformation.

There’s an opportunity in every crisis. And, right now, Coronavirus pandemic and isolation brings a great opportunity for us to grow and improve.

My job day to day is to help CEOs and executives grow and improve. When we are working on adopting new mental patterns, the first thing we need to do is to break the old pattern.

Let me give you an analogy:

Let’s say you are driving and you realize there is something wrong with one of the tires. What do you need to do? You need to pull over, take the old tire out and put the new one in.

The problem is that many people find it hard to stop “the car” and break their old patterns. The more momentum they build with the old patterns and habits, it is harder to stop, especially for those of us in fast-paced, high-demand environments.

Guess what, because of the pandemic and isolation so many of our patterns are broken naturally! Our assumptions and expectations about the world, life, and our future are breaking apart regardless we want it not. Many of our routines and habits are broken because of the isolation.

So we get the first step of transformation for free! We now have fertile soil to implement new things…

…new mindsets

…new behaviors

…new habits

My suggestion is to take full advantage of it. Whatever you plant in yourself has a higher chance to take root and become a part of how you operate. Choose wisely.

As I always say, Shit Happens, Turn it to Fertilizer ;)
